Making this change would break more than it would 'fix' as you either
have to choose to use the Super key to open the applications menu or
choose it to be a modifier for a large number of other actions.

Isn't this supposed to be for fixing annoyances. Yes it's relatively
easy to reconfigure this, in fact it's one of the first things I change
after an install. The fact remains that the "expected behaviour" for
the vast majority of new users is that that key open the main menu. I

1) divide screen into grid divided by the default width/height of icons
2) order icons in whatever natural order you choose (alpha, date, etc.)

I would say make a variable grid if people would like to keep variable
sized icons, meaning make a grid that is 32x32, 48x48, 64x64, 128x128

Since I have a desktop computer I unchecked Startup Applications -> Startup
Programs -> Power Manager mistakenly thinking power managemeent only applied to
