I too have been unable to reproduce this bug. However since this is a
card game I would reccomend running the following command in your
terminal (ApplicationsAccessoriesTerminal)
sudo apt-get purge gnome-games gnome-games-data gnome-cards-data

The karmic version read files in /etc/X11/sessions which you can use for
that, no need to add another directory
