In any emails that I have received, Evolution takes too long to open it.
What solution can I apply here? I always deleting all the unwanted

FreeNX, so it doesn't have the information I was looking for (my fault).
Anyway, I did some reading online, and FreeNX doesn't support
XInputExtension AFAICT, which is what triggers your issue here.

flushing datas on the drive after each write which tend to be not a good
idea since usb drive can handle only a limited number of write cycles
and that increase the counter quickly

Not confirming the issue there on current karmic:
- open totem
- right click on the mixer icon in the notification area, open settings dialog
- change the volume using the totem slider
The totem volume change in the mixer but the master volume stay where
it's set

Compiling the latest driver from http://linuxtv.org/hg/~pinchartl/uvcvideo
makes no difference.
Basically, every tool (skype, ekiga, luvcview, gst-launch v4l2src !
