I just wanted to add that I believe Nautilus is being loaded but a
browser window is not displayed. I came to this conclusion because
Nautilus has very high memory usage (~150mb) without any browser being

It turns out that this issue happens only when you suspend the laptop by
closing the lid (default gpm settings suspend the laptop on lid close).

How this bug came up for me.
I was using 2 programs
1) Totem paying a shoutcast play list
2) StreamRipStar ripping shoutcast streams.
When i pressed from StreamRipStar the "Hear Stream" which played in
Totem sound stopped and could not hear anything.
No youtube, no mp3 no shoutcast... nothing.
I just tested the new packages and they work for reboot/shutdown fine.

One issue in Rich Jones' mockup is that gtk currently does not work that way.
If the shortcuts are not displayed the menu will become thinner/narrower. Check
out the session menu.
The fix is in no way a simple/easy one.

Binary package hint: empathy
Empathy is signed into nickserv successfully however it is not allowing
room to be ungreyed. Fortunately /join now works so you can connect in

anyone wants to test those 4 lines to verify that they solve the
reboot/shutdown problem for thin clients, he just needs to do:
