HI, I have installed new printer HP LaserJet P1008 via Samba, the host
of printer installed is an windows xp machine. I can setup the printer
successful, and the test page printed OK. But when I print on evince,
eog, gimp, the page printed was blur
OK seems that I can give you more informations on this bug.
If I disable compiz's effects using "Apperance" from Menu, I can make
some test without having freeze using VGA:
NOTE: all the tests are not done in display cloning mode.
this is a normal output obtained from command "compiz --replace"

Actually in nautilus we can switch tab with Maj+PageUp or Maj+PageDown,
I think me and many people are accustomed to use Ctrl+Tab for normal
tabswitching and Ctrl+Maj+Tab for reverse TabSwitching when we use
Firefox or Pidgin and many common appl
Personally I disagree with it. The forums and websites of Ubuntu

One more tidbit: yelp not only completely monopolizes all of the CPU
cores (25 minutes and counting), but it also takes ever-increasing
amounts of RAM: 9 GB and counting.
Even the mouse is almost completely unresponsive. Seems like the current
Ubuntu versions of yelp make fairly effective assault

I can reproduce this with anything that consumes CPU. Audacious doesn't
exhibit the behavior even under full CPU load.
Worst (another bug?) the sound player (most probably the sound

I've had the same problem and after not getting anywhere with zanghi's
link I connected an old IDE writer in place of my current SATA writer
and everything seems to be fine. So at least on my machine the problem
is to do with SATA interface. Sorry if I'm repeating a known fact.

Another funny thing.
Maximized windows always leave approximately 1px space on tom, so I can peek at
