In all cases, removing the Ubuntu flashplugin-installer and

Unfortunately this problem is very much still alive I did NOT have this
problem with Jaunty. I've recently done a clean install of Karmic and two
problems occur:
1. The track lengths are reported as way too long, i.e a 4/5 min track is
reported as 30-40 mins or so

The /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/i386/linux/npviewer workaround doesn't work for me.
But launching firefox directly with the GDK switch works:

Sorry, you can safely ignore the "gconftool-2 -g" before each of these
gconf paths.
These settings can be set for one user, but not globally for all users.
Perhaps there is a way to set the default gconf keys for all newly
created users.

It's nice to get some comeback on this, but we still don't understand
the reasoning behind the decision. If there is stuff coming in 10.10
that might necessitate moving the buttons, and you can't tell what they
are - fair enough, but why not make the change in 10.10!
