I have found a suitable work-around for my needs; I was one of the many

just to copy a cd. That's just nuts. Sound Juicer extracts a cd in 4

Maverick on an Asus V6V Laptop: the Brightness Applet isn't working
correctly, I get the message
"Cannot get laptop panel brightness"
when hovering over it. It shows the "LCD Off" Icon, even when brightness
is at maximum.
