Upon reflection I think I see where your confusion arises, KennoVO.
Although the GStreamer lamemp3enc is what is invoked by the default and
by modified profiles, it still needs instructing using original lame
commands, which is why, if you want to try different settings, you need
to have the 'gst-
You are definitely running the latest libdbusmenu.
Based on what you are saying, there could be another leak somewhere.
Does it go away if you pull out the battery?
If you look at comment #43, there are some commands you can run to get a
better idea of what is going on.

No, I didn't have any trouble but that's because I echoed the value into
it and didn't try to edit it like a file. Since /proc is a special file
system gedit may not be able to handle it or it just doesn't behave
exactly as expected. I was able to use vim with no problem.

Have you tried burning to an ISO file and checking it? As noted in Bug
648283, this version of Brasero is producing total crap for image files,
too. Perhaps Maverick needs to revert to a known working version,
although it has been a while since there was a working version of
Brasero.
