By starting big videos for example an .avi with 650 or more MB the totem
player open the video for just one second without sound. After that
there are four alert which pop up and the video stops. You can try it as
much as you want, it doesn't work.

I have this problem too. It seems to be a general bug with compiz/gome-
panel, not distro specific.
I have a quick fix. When it happens, right click the panel, click
properties, then change the "size" by one pixel, then change it back
after it refreshes. A fix would be nice though.

The clock applet in the panel shows the same time for a while, until I
actually move the panel. Once I move the panel, the clock is finally
refreshed, giving the impression of a time jump..
So I can't trust the time shown by the gnome panel.

the fresh install of Maverick. No updates is released yet...

When I try to add a background image, the Add Wallpaper dialog shows

I7 with nvidia graphics.
First login after boot is most of the time correct.
Today's updates didn't fix the problem for me.

a backtrace. I think it might have been related to a problem with the Exchange
connector, which I've logged separately (662072), because deleting and
recreating the Exchange connection appears to have brought my calen

I have located the problem. As mentioned, cdrdao version is not detected
properly. This is because brasero's detection is based on analysis of
the first line of output that cdrdao generally provides, which has the
following format:
Cdrdao version %d.%d.%d - (C) Andreas Mueller
Now the problem is
A closer look at the client reveals that it remains in the "away" state
after resume from suspend. Changing manually to "available" forces the
client to reconnect sucessfully.

I experience the same problem in Ubuntu 10.04. QGIS (using gdal) also
crashes when I try to open the file. I tried to attach the file to this
post but cannot select it, since opening the directory in the file
browser makes Firefox crash...
