In my current maverick install it's sorting my home folder by
modification date in reverse and it's sorting every other folder by
name. I can temporarily switch it back to sorting by name but it only
stays until I change to another folder and back. In previous versions it
would store my preference

I just opened a .vob file in totem and it gave me the error to install
gstream...-ugly and -bad so I cancelled the dialog and no error message
was presented to me. I am using Natty Narwal though the totem version in
