SystemPreferencesAppearance and the theme will reset back to normal
automatically. to return the nautilus theme open the terminal and type:
'ps x -e | grep nautilus'
and then 'kill -9' plus the process number.

reason SFTP works just fine with GVFS, though I used some other ftp
clients before, they seemed to drop the connection after a while, but
nautilus seems to keep the connection alive for a long time, if it's

I had updated less than an hour before the reboots that showed the crash

an NTFS filesystem in a 1.5 TB My Book external USB disk from Western
Digital. I was able to see the process that has 100% of the CPU and
causes spinners in my Nautilus
