Under Maverick, I experienced no problems with the stock screensaver.

Note re comment 16 - I don't think this is correct. In Maverick and
prior releases, the material on the yelp frontpage comes from the yelp
package, not gnome-user-docs. So this seems definitely to be an issue
with yelp.

I am running Natty final on an Atom nettop connected as a HTPC. This is
a badly needed feature. I finally figured out the commands to change
/proc/acpi/wakeup for USB0, et al, and it now works, but this should be
enabled "out of the box", or at least a GUI in gnome-power-manager.

I had noticed the problem also in Maverick (it could have started after
switching to "maverick-proposed" upgrade set, but I'm not sure).
It happened occassionally that after login the colour/icon setup was incorrect

In my case, when the bug is in effect, the "Show Desktop" icon is as

I was playing last.fm recommended tracks. I turneg on visualisation.
When i want to close it then next track in queue is playing. When
visualisation window is destroyed and next track is playing, new
visualisation appears and im in loop :(
