I was unable to replicate the issue, however with Unity occasionally
some dialog boxes will not respond to mouse clicks or keyboard shortcuts
and have to be killed so the issue could perhaps be related to that

It's nothing to do with gconf or gtk2-engines. The issue is that we
don't have a gtk3 theme yet. That is currently being worked on. In the
meantime, you can change your theme to the GNOME default (Adwaita) using
dconf-editor. You need gnome-themes-standard installed for that though

Having problems watching TV with totem/gnome-dvb-daemon: no sound on
Danish MPEG4 channels. MPEG2 channels are OK.
I isolated the problem to gstreamer that stops when decoding the audio stream:
GST_DEBUG=mpeg*:5 gst-launch-0.10 dvbbasebin inversion=AUTO bandwidth=8

It does repeat itself every time I log in as a regular user.
Logging is OK, though, trying as the root user.
