This is crazy - I just installed natty and the default screensaver is
electric sheep, which uses about 30% cpu. When we have each member of

[Arrandale] gnome-display-properties
I downloaded the file to my hard drive (that seems to be a fairly low
bandwidth/slow server) and then it played back immediately and smoothly.
It also seems to be quite a large file for two minutes of H.264 video.
I would have expected about 20MB. Perhaps this is due to the Raw 16-bit
PCM audio?
I am sorry that I won't be of any help in this respect, I am still
running lucid and I have no plans to install or upgrade till next LTS.

Yeah, I get lots of buffering delays too when I use the command in
comment #3, so I decided to try and play it in Totem again and wait
longer this time. After downloading over half of the video it began to
play smoothly and continued to do so until the end. This is on Ubuntu
10.04 "Lucid Lynx".

yeah, it is still an issue... gnome 3 sadly doesn't come with
smoothscroll, as far as I know. but I have to say that the smoothscroll
in Unity 2D dashboard is terrific, that is exactly that what we are
missing in our regular windows! but still I believe, it should be
turnable off.

I can add some good news on this bug! I just booted my netbook from a
11.04 Live CD (well on a flash drive actually). The resolution is 1024 x
600 and it is running the Unity interface. When I call up gnome-disk-
utility it is too big to fit on the screen both vertically and
horizontally. HOWEVER,
Still happens in Natty in "classic desktop" mode.

I don't notice this problem in Natty as much.
Possibly unrelated is a problem with highlighting in the "Nokia 2690
Manual.pdf" file I provided to you.

Sorry this bug is outdated and it wasn't reported correctly.
What happens is this:
The files I mentioned in this bug had two ID3 tag frames (I didn't know
that Mp3 files could have more than one ID3 tag frame) and what happened
with Rhythmbox is that it was reading the first (or last I don't know
I don't change or touch anything on boot. as described in the test case.
The only thing I do after booting from the CD is to click on 'Try
Ubuntu' at the first ubiquity screen.
Once on the Live Session, there is a keyboard indicator with english
layouts which are the same in the 'Region and Langua

This isn't a issue anymore in Natty Narwhal. The content of the page has
changed though, but similar pages don't trigger a crash anymore.
