When launched, gnome-terminal has a menu bar, even though 'Show menubar
by default in new terminals' is clearly unchecked. I only have the
default profile. This happens both when launching a new gnome-terminal
from the command line, and when opening a new terminal window throu

adequate for compiz effects.
Then I tried fglrx but had issues with the dual monitor setup and setting
resolutions with amdcccle so I uninstalled fglrx.

I did what obadz suggested, and it solved the problem, however, because of this
I can't install rhythmbox-plugins -- the oneiric version doesn't agree with
rhythmbox, while the natty version apparently conflicts with vlc.
On a sidenote, rhythmbox doesn't appear anywhere in notification area in lx

Actually I cannot reproduce this issue, so based on your assertion that it was
present after the upgrade of nautilus in Natty, i mark this bug as affecting
nautilus.
