After more than 6 months of waiting I reinstalled ubuntu, which fixed
the problem. As I said, every pdf caused it, but I can obviously no
longer reproduce the bug. I have attached a pdf from my old home
directory's downloads folder that I wasn't able to open in the past in

I guess the bug is simular in the fact that changing the settings in defaulta
applications does not change the settings for default application to open
certain mimetype.

Hi, I've just had enough of doing CTRL-ALT-F1 login, kill gnome-
screensaver etc., to look more into this and can confirm that, at least
for me:
With two keyboard layouts (layout1 and layout2)
1) lock the screen with CTRL-ALT-l
2) touch mouse to bring up screensaver dialog
3) switch keyboard layou

In the tiled window view (after pressing F3) it is not possible to click
on any of the folders that are in the folder "address" view at the top
of the window. This is confusing me, because i don't see the reason why
I should enable the other window by clicking somewhere before
I have the same problem as post #21
Killing the plexmediaserver allows me to shutdown/reboot as expected
from the menu.
I tried changing autologin stuff, and it had no effect.
sudo reboot works as expected.
It seems that plexmediaserver is doing something funky with how it runs
its server. I as

after a restart, alt-tab now works.
also the launcher icon connects now.
