problem. If Ubuntu isn't going to use Vinagre as the default anymore

I finally gave up on Rhythmbox and I am sticking with Guayadeque. You
can sort static playlists AND you can export/import radio station lists,
and it doesn't crash on me like Banshee always has. I recommend the PPA
version instead of the default repository version, as Guayadeque is

works. The rebuild was done keeping the multi-arch changes that were
introduced in Precise, so we know for sure that it's 0.10.35 => 0.10.36
that broke it, most likely in the gstreamer0.10 source though not
impossible it's cause

The button is only shown if you are in the admin group. On one of my
laptops, my user is, on another fresh install, it is not. I do not know
why that is, but the logic needs to be re-examined:

Did some extra debugging in webcam.c initially, I tracked down the
hanging call to be:
if (gst_element_set_state (priv->camerabin, GST_STATE_PLAYING) ==
GST_STATE_CHANGE_FAILURE) {
or more specifically gst_element_set_state(priv->camerabin,
GST_STATE_PLAYING)
I also confirmed that it's a gstream

I've verified that "Apply system wide" shows up on multiple Ubuntu 12.04
computers. Maybe you did an incorrect dist-upgrade and removed something
important.
I went ahead and reopened this bug even though I believe the default
installation is working as it's supposed to.

Sorry, my Canonical support tech found a way to do this:
1) Open Home Folder
2) Go to the Edit menu
3) Select Preferences
4) Under "Icon View Defaults" and "List View Defaults" change the zoom level to
the desired percentage
Problem solved.

Gentlemen,
I am tired of waiting for the bugs in Ubuntu 1010 to be corrected.
I will not use Unity,
I have therefore reverted to 10.04 LTS until I am able to find another
operating system.
I shall no longer recommend Ubuntu to anyone.
