for the status menu is a light grey, almost white, with dark text. Must

Confirmed again. I still get this bug in oneiric. Usually after compiz
has crashed or been killed, when I restart X (and compiz) it fails to
restart with a theme. Then logging out and in again finally fixes it.

I've unchecked the option on Terminal: Keyboard Shortcuts -> Enable the menu
shortcut key (F10 as default), although it didn't work, the menu insists in

Unmarking this as a duplicate since I've figured out what the issue was
and the other bug is private.
I had restored my home directory from a backup, and the permissions on
~/.cache/rhythmbox/album-art were root:root 700. Changing the ownership
to my user allowed rhythmbox to start.

Hopefully it's ok to ask this after the bug has been marked as fixed...
I have renamed the adm group to be admin to get the button to appear
and consequently get the proxy setting working. As this bug has now been
fixed can someone tell me what groups my user should be part of?

You'll still need to use dconf-editor though to set GNOME Shell

Re install 12.04 in one machine, fully updated now, nothing else
installed, Sound Record (from Built-In Audio) not working still.
I should say that sound record *does* work from a microphone and also
from the usb microphone integral in a webcam I use for such as skype.

Even though I had sound working on ubuntu 11.10 it doesn't work anymore.
I set every volume control on alsamixer to 100 and unmutted them all and
here are the results from some programs (that should help
troubleshooting this):
$ aplay -l
