I, too, have this issue. I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit. I can get

I am running Raring 13.04 (but this was not detected properly in 12.04

It has to do with how Samsung phones (at least of this generation) deal
with being plugged in. They don't present a completely stable set of USB
capabilities when initially connected, and while it eventually
stablizes, the end result is that the mtp detector appears to see the

When using the Disable Touchpad While Typing, the cursor still moves,
yet the the click is disabled.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or simply a desirable feature, though.
The fact that the cursor moves is probably wrong, as it keeps distracting the
