The attachment "vala-gio-vapi-fix.debdiff" seems to be a debdiff. The
ubuntu-sponsors team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they
can review and hopefully sponsor the debdiff. If the attachment isn't a
patch, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the
"patch" tag,
Adding a debdiff to get the results into vala before it makes it through
the pipeline.

Download last two packages I attached - gnome-
panel_3.4.1-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb and gnome-panel-
data_3.4.1-0ubuntu2_all.deb. Than install - sudo dpkg -i gnome-
panel*.deb.
I build packages special for ubuntu 12.04 (precise, amd64). Atfer you
will install these packages gnome-panel should work fine

1. If you have knowledge how to compile packages from source you could
try download source, apply patches, compile and install pached gnome-
panel. I can attach patches if needed, just ask. :)

When rhythmbox switches to a new song, it sends notifications three
times. This happens both with autoplay and manuall skipping to the next
track. Using 'notify-send' to trigger a notification only shows the
notification once, leading me to believe the problem is with rythmbo
Could you tell me if you are still affected (sorry I just want to get to
your current versions from Ubuntu and GIMP to reproduce this bug). Thank

Have you tested a ppa for GIMP instead of self compiling? I work with a
ppa from GIMP 2.8.6 and can't reproduce this. This is on Ubuntu 13.04
raring.
But please don't forget Ubuntu only supports the packages from the
software center.
