This has been a problem for me in last several releases; attaching a
screen shot -- can't read the file names in left column, which also
won't expand.

I am also having these same issues with not being able to read any CD or
DVD. Like #23, I would really appreciate it if someone would provide a
step-by-step process that those of us who are less computer-literate can
understand and follow. Instructions using the terminal works for me.
