I tried to start Nautilus normally by clicking the "Files" icon on the
launcher, but it didn't start even though the icon pulsed for a while. I
then opened a terminal and typed "nautilus", and watched what happened
in System Monitor. There seemed to be a Nautilus process tryin
Yeah seems to work on zesty. Although only as a regular user (not sudo)
and with a mountain of GTK warnings.

Hi,
when using eog in full screen mode the menubar should not be visible.
Unfortunately I did not find a way to get rid of it. This problem does
not exist in other builds of eog (I tried the stable and master versions
proposed as flatpak bundles). Therefore this problem see
gtk seems to be fixed on 17.04

For the time being, you can workaround this by first (when it's yet not
running) manually starting up /usr/lib/gnome-terminal/gnome-terminal-
server --name foo --class bar, and then (within 10 seconds) start gnome-
terminal to open the first window.
