Ok, I misunderstood it.
I think what you want to say here (as slodki pointed out) is that Unity
Lockscreen does not turn off under this configuration.

Somewhat similarly, I found that, on a laptop with no external input
device (only the touchpad), the file menu would not drop down from the
toolbar, though all the other menus did. Odd. It lasted about a minute.
Gimp 2.8 on Mint 18 x64.

I had the same problem, for me disabling MAC address randomization while
scanning resolved it, by adding a .conf file to
/etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/ containing:
[device-wlan3]
match-device=wlan3
wifi.scan-rand-mac-address=0

in the text window in an overlapping way, such that the contents of the
text file cannot be seen.
However, if one does "select" on any area of the file, the contents,
under the selected area, does show
