trying to kill/restart its own gnome-shell instance on VT switch

Crash happened when I tried to use Wacom st
This is pretty easy to reproduce: the latest daily build (Oct 4) of
cosmic does it on first reboot after installation in a VM: as on my
system, loginctl shows only a single session present. There are no crash
files in /var/crash, and there are no errors logged at ubuntu.com.

I've debugged it for a while, but really I don't see anything wrong in

Let me give an update on the situation. For more details, see the Debian
bug and its duplicate.
Tim split tracker-common out of tracker and pushed that change to the
Debian packaging. This fixed this issue, but a key Debian maintainer for
this package believed that this issue should be worked out
We just ran out of time to coordinate everything to fix this issue.

Tested with MSI PE70 7RD ( Intel i7-7700HQ and GeForce GTX 1050 ) and
Ubuntu 18.04 fresh install.
Proposed Packages install fine. Change of graphic with PRIME and log
out/in working fast and without problem. Nvidia driver is not loaded in
Power Saving Mode and power is OK ~10W idle. Led indicates

update don't contain the patch you sent but now opening a new window
from the evince menu does work. The new window menu for evince is still
missing in shell (right click on the launcher).

The only source that asks for this update is Software center but I do
not have a Logitech Unifying Receiver, its a keyboard the k400r, I have
installed in the past this driver but I think it made ubuntu crash, or
could not login anymore.
