System freezes on resume from suspend
To manage notifications
My main issue is "on resume from suspend" which I never had with 16.04. I
probably had 30-50 resumes before I rebooted after a kernel update.
In the mean time I am on 4.15.0-38.
I assume I removed the gnome-shell, also I switched from nouveau to
nvidia-driver-390

I opened the settings window fromt the top left corner.
I changed the dockbar position from left to bottom. After changing the
dockbar to the bottom, the setttings panel does not show up on the
screen.
While it shows up on the dockbar, Clicking on i

It seems everything started to fail after resume because the X server
went away:

I can confirm that upgrading to 18.10 solves this issue. While there are
still a few caveats (e.g. toolbar becoming intransparent when launching
an application), the hardware which failed before can now log into
'Ubuntu' as well as 'Ubuntu on Wayland'.

@Alberto, I switched back to Ubuntu 18.04 and now everything is working.
Now I can switch to Intel with low power consumption and no external monitor
how it was ever, and when I switch back to Nvidia, I can use external monitor
normally.

Putting CTRL+SHIFT as the keyboard layout change hotkey should not
disable all CTRL+SHIFT+

I'm experiencing this bug on elementary OS 5.0. After looking through
different reports I can see that it comes from ubuntu.

It's now looking as if the problems with the dash are a symptom of a
crash rather than a cause. After rebooting and disabling all extensions
I can restart gnome-shell with 'Alt F2 > r and enter' several times with
a problem.
