Yes, I can confirm it happens for me with the gnome calculator too.
Also, I'm running at 2560x1440 with scale=100% on one affected machine
and 3200x1800 with scale=200% on another, which I think means that it
isn't hidpi or scaling related.

Every now and then the on-screen keyboard pops up not intentionally
required and no evident way to clear it is available.
The only way I can clear it is via "universal access" adding (it is
normally not set) and then disabling it.

Did some more testing, it does actually look like one of my monitors is

On Ubuntu Desktop 20.04, everything latest, I have run into the inconvenience
that when I'm running a GUI program without a freedesktop .desktop launcher,
the Ubuntu Dock shows it as an empty space (since it has no icon of its own).

PS. I double-checked that there were no nautilus processes hanging
around before removing nautilus-image-converter. And I double-checked
that the features of nautilus-image-converter were no longer showing

Currently I'm using a 4K AOC monitor on 20.04 LTS with a DisplayPort
cable.
Normally, there is a gear widget in the lower right corner of the screen
that allows me to select between XServer and Wayland. This gear is
missing. Switching to an HDMI cable

And if you want connecting of USB to not automatically change the
settings then you will need to edit /etc/pulse/default.pa and comment
out:
load-module module-switch-on-connect

I can't reproduce the problem but also can't see where the custom sound
theme is stored. The gsettings for it are just:

I think this is probably occurring because the primary display is
occupied by a window already. So any more new windows go to the next
display that has empty space. If that's true then this is not a bug. And
