If the mouse cursor moves still while there is no image on the screen
then this is indeed a gnome-shell issue. But most gnome-shell issues are
actually bugs in extensions so please start by removing these in the

I've seen the same issue reported in gnome trackers under
Nautilus+Fedora and Thunar+Arch, so I'm fairly sure it's not a Mint-

Can you please point out which specific file is required to run Gnome

user's favourite activity) has been fixed in GTK 3.24.31. Unfortunately,
Ubuntu 21.10 is still stuck on 3.24.30. I'd think that making 3.24.31
