Just tested the above image with eog 3.36.3-0ubuntu1 (Focal) and it
crashed (Virtual Machine with 2 CPU cores and 4GB RAM). Tested with eog
42.0-1 (Jammy) and it worked.

Updated today to 22.04 and started noticing this issue as well.
easy to reproduce when chrome have video or any kind of animation happening.

And I've found yet another weird behavior. Although I can't save to
"~/1" normally, if I add "~/1" as a bookmark, I can save to it, but only
if click on the bookmark. If I navigate to "~/1" trough the file
explorer with any other path instead of clicking the bookmark, I can't
save anymore.

This is also affecting Virsh (KVM/QEMU) based virtual machines. Just
tested with The latest Focal update (gnome-settings-daemon
3.36.1-0ubuntu1.1) and the machine was turned off without any

I've done some further testing and this is 100% reproducible with Chrome
(deb), Firefox (apt) and Telegram Desktop (binary):
I can save to any of the "first level" directories, but not to any of the child
folders:
File saving testing with those three software:
~/ -> OK
~/1 -> Error
~/Desktop -> O
Just tested with Focal's Nautilus 1:3.36.3-0ubuntu1.20.04.1 and was not
able to reproduce this issue. Should be fixed.

Just tested with Focal's Nautilus 1:3.36.3-0ubuntu1.20.04.1 and this
does not happen.
Followed the same scenario and renamed 2 out of 4 sample files:
1) Using Nautilus itself.
2) Closed Nautilus and renamed the files in terminal.
In both cases Nautilus automatically regenerated the thumbnails.
This does not happen only with browsers. Telegram Desktop can save files
to "~/" but not to "~/1/". I've tried gedit code and deluge, and I have
no issues saving files with those.

It appears to take 250MB resident (according to top) on my Raspberry Pi
400 even when the software is "closed". On a machine with 4GB, this is
pretty significant. Even more so considering we now support the desktop
on Pis with as little as 2GB of RAM.
