I am currently seeing the same message in my logs (mantic).
I am not entirely sure if this is related yet, but this happens when I
re-size terminal windows to fit half of my leftmost workspaces (and then
I experience a few seconds freeze when this happens).

I'm using 23.04 with Gnome 44.0
Can we please get this fix/corrected when using Files constantly making
.trash1000 directories when you delete something on an external drive?
This, is a major pain in the rear, all the clutter this leaves behind.
Also, I would like to emphasize that I am essentially just suggesting
that make gnome-software more "modular".
I'm not proposing to completely eliminate/cut out and not ship
PackageKit as a basic package, if it's really needed somewhere.

I was suggesting to separate PackageKit and make it a separate plugin.
This would make it possible to install GNOME Software exclusively with
the flatpak plugin, for those times when you only need to install
