Hi. I have the same problem, also with all packaged versions of
Epiphany, and using Ubuntu 24.04 (WebKitGTK 2.44.1, GStreamer 1.22.11).
I am posting here the possible issue that was suggested when it was
reported in Gnome, in case it helps:

I finally noticed that this seems to happen shortly after switching from
one workspace to another. My understanding is that it's what is
described in https://github.com/mzur/gnome-shell-wsmatrix/issues/279.
Not sure if it is worth keeping this launchpad issue (considering it as
a regression in
Hi there, this issue has come up for me on all packaged versions of
epiphany - except no record of app in application manager either. Gnome
has closed the issue as it isn't them. Please see thread:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/epiphany/-/issues/2357
Gnome believe this to be an Ubuntu issue.
This seems like a duplicate of

same problem here. Did a fresh install of Ubuntu 24.04.
After using autologin a lot of programs have no border and shadow.
They also cant be resized any more.
If I log out and in again, this effects are gone.
After a restart with autologin the effects are here again.
If I disable autologin,
Package versions installed appear to be the latest availalble.

I'm wondering if the affected apps use Xwayland, which would also
translate the input. Firefox shouldn't be, because that's now Wayland by
default, but Chromium would be.

Thanks Nathan, I updated the changelog to target the right serie, lower
the revision comparated to the oracular upload and include the bug
number. If you go through the sponsoring process it's probably easier to
still provide a debdiff next time because other reviewers/sponsors might
not want to
Thanks for the analysis!

It would be strange that this happens only after upgrading to 24.04.
Also, I tried with a simple USB cable mouse without any fancy side button and
had similar problems. I will try to get some log of that as soon as

Ubuntu sponsors, correct me if I'm wrong: Since this is a request to
back port the current version from Oracular to Noble, I don't need to

I can confirm that manually copying the i915 firmware
from
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/tree/i915
to /lib/firmware/i915
regenerate initramfs and reboot.
All normal.
So upgrade broken the 915 firmware package.
