Upgraded to gstreamer 1.24.4, using instructions here:

BUT, with the setup flag gst_debug=true
This traces back to an issue with gstreamer debug symbols, patched here:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstr
This bug is also present in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

The search works very well in a partition formatted in NTFS.
It does not work for a partition formatted in EXT4 whether there is the
x-gvfs-show option or not.

After re-installing my laptop, this problem is back. This time it
happens after every reboot. I now have auto login enabled, and am
booting directly into the default Ubuntu desktop environment every time,
so the problem can't be caused by loading another desktop environment
such as Unity.

It happened just after reboot, so the new log is relatively short. To
make monitors work again I had to replug dock-station.
