I observed the same problem after upgrading to Ubuntu 24.10, also on the
Nvidia 560 driver.
What's interesting is that running 'sudo nautilus' doesn't produce the X
Error and successfully launches nautilus.

Hi Daniel, first let me say I just learned A LOT from your steps here.
Like A LOT, I was unaware of the errors.ubuntu.com page which frankly
