problem still occurred.
But now I've removed ArcMenu using the Extension Manager GUI, and so far, the
fallback to X11 has stopped.

The issue is that even if Nautilus showed the "Executable as Program"
tick, clicking the file would not actually run it. Which is presumably
what you're trying to achieve here by setting it as exec
