When I try to add a Google account using Gnome "Online Accounts" tab
from the settings, I encounter an error.
To investigate further, I ran this command from my terminal:
$ gnome-control-center -v
I then tried to add a new Google account, the "Sign in to Google with
your bro
Thanks so much for fast and helpful response, Daniel, greatly
appreciated.
Have removed all extensions as suggested, no crash today but will keep
monitoring. Then gradually add extensions back one-by-one until I find
out what was causing the problem, and report back appropriately.

dbus-broker in noble, oracular and plucky only checks for EINVAL when
calling the SO_PEERPIDFD getsockopt to check if a process already
exited.
The kernel in 6.16 is changing the return value from EINVAL to ESRCH so

Installed gnome-shell{,common}=46.0-0ubuntu6~24.04.9 in Ubuntu 24.04.2
LTS, then logged-out and logged-in again.
Followed the test plan to verify that the bug is fixed.
Followed the two regression test plans to verify that no regressions are
introduced in the OSK.
No other regressions noted.

Just to add, GIMP does run fine as root (sudo gimp), but crashes on a
normal user.
Same behavior for a new user and a fresh install.

The Eyesight Break feature of the Wellbeing module does not work
correctly where there is an idle inhibitor, such as video playback in
Firefox.
I receive the Eyesight Break notification and click "Take". The screen
is slowly dimmed, but after 20s I never receive the break end

taking too much time in RT mode. Presumably the Nautilus crash just
created some system load that triggered the bug.
