in again recently, it sounds like a problem with the pagination or

The apps are all still there, but the majority of them aren't
appearing in the "show apps" menu, like they used to,
although, I can do a search, and they're found.
Example: Search for KDenLive...

...but yet, no longer appears in "show apps".

I do not believe this is the same issue.
The issue is the daemon does not rescan for new slots.
While a back port may be different, the authors claim a back port
shouldn’t be too difficult.

"Won't Fix" for mutter and gnome-shell because the driver fix will land
so much sooner than we can get context robustness into Mutter. When and
if that arrives it will be to solve other issues, not this one anymore.
