eGPUs are interesting. I have one too but it doesn't get tested very often. I suspect using Thunderbolt they will have connectivity bugs in the same way as high bandwidth displays do. So getting a really high quality Thunderbolt cable (like Apple's) is probably important. And/or keeping cable lengt

Officially we only switched Nvidia systems over to Wayland in Ubuntu 24.10. There was a lot to fix and 24.04 will probably never have enough of those fixes.
