Glad to see folks are working on Poppler. Something happened between
11.10 and 12.04 that breaks printing of some PDFs on Brother printers.

including ctrl key position. This has disappeared now (and so has the
gconf option apparently since what used to be my ctrl key is once again
a caps lock key).
Ignore what I said about the gconf option, gnome-settings-daemon wasn't

(including the option to change the keyboard layout, worryingly).

I've not been using the daily CDs, but I not sure whether this isn't
fixed, or whether I'm afflicted by bug #654660 as well. So to confirm,
using gconftool to set
/apps/gnome_settings_daemon/xrandr/use_xorg_monitor_settings to true
like so:

Using Maverick 10.10 betas
Since updating to Maverick 10.10, GDM doesn't seem to start correctly
I can confirm this, however I am unable to connect to either regardless
of what is enabled and disabled. I simply cannot get MSN or AIM to
connect. I simply get a network error, and if I try and click reconnect
it instantly returns the network error, it doesn't appear that it is
even attempting to

the compiz-core package is updated via a normal upgrade.
To stop this you can just put the package on hold [echo compiz-core
hold | sudo dpkg --set-selections]. You can confirm it's new state with
[dpkg --get-selections |
If you can't wait for this to be fixed upstream, here's a step-by-step
guide of how to fix based on d.a.'s description (thanks d.a.!) for those
not familiar with modifying and re-building things from source.
1. Make sure you have apt-src installed [sudo apt-get install apt-src].

Using Ubuntu 10.04 Beta, I can successfully see the contacts, but any
edits (delete, new, change a contact) result in authentication errors.
Note the password is definitely right -- the contacts do show up. Any
ideas here?

I have a dual-monitor setup, and it seems that evince doesn't seem to
display PDF's correctly when you enter Presentation mode. In my case it
shows half of the PDF on one screen and nothing on the other. This
seemed different enough from
