Those same events appear fine in the week view... they are not stretched
into the previous month.

I am not able to comment further on this bug because the original system
in question has been wiped and reinstalled with a different distro. I
have not seen this symptom on other oneiric-based systems, and I did not
have any other natty-based systems to test this on.
Thanks for checking. Others
Did a fresh install of Natty in a new partition, and evince is behaving
itself... the problem, whatever it was, is not in my $HOME.

I have the same behavior -- blink on bootup, showing the last messages
from /etc/init.d/scripts, and then the login window with autologin not
working.
This is on an EeePC 900 with an Intel 915GM/GMS/910GML running Intrepid.

I'm not sure if 115237 is talking about adding workspace names to the
desktop itself, or to the little preview area in the desktop switcher.
My request was the latter. I just want to make sure that the bug
reports do not get combined and then the subtle distinction gets
inadvertently lost.
Also
I tried the fancy new visual effects briefly, but then disabled it that
same day because it seemed to be unstable on my laptop's video card.
Since then, I have been running plain Jane GNOME with no advanced visual
effects.

workspace switcher: name OR preview, but not both
A couple of notes:
(1) At work, I use Kubuntu. It has a similar applet called pager
which allows the names and the previews to be viewed at the same time.
Nicely done there. A little bit on the busy looking side, but very
usable.
(2) Back to GNOME workspace switcher, if you have the workspace

I can turn on workspace names in the switcher, but then I lose the
preview that is normally there.
I use 12 workspaces. With so many, it's hard to

Comment:
I tried it out with a newly-created calendar entry and it seemed to act
OK (except when I deleted it, I had to redraw the screen before it
disappeared).
I'm not sure why it did not like the Palm-synced events.
Sorry I
