This happens to me too on Hardy with epiphany-
browser_2.22.0-0ubuntu5_all.deb. This also affects firefox3 so is
perhaps common to all gecko browsers. The status bar will sometimes show
waiting for a different domain.

1. On my Ubuntu system, there's already an entry in 10-usb-music-
players.fdi commented for this
vendor_id/product_id combo while my device is 512MB. Are the
vendor_id/product_id combinations meant to be unique?

It's working for me, I'm not on amd64 though. I tihnk file roller should
use ar which should be installed by package binutils. Is ar installed on
your system?
