having `apport' daemon running, I hit "Report a Problem" in the "Help" menu
of Evince. Then followed web forms to see that `.crash' file is not
included. Then added the file to the report.

this is what I do not get - apport did not send `.crash' file, thus I had
attached it to the report manually. You still suggest that `.crash' is
missing or invalid.
I am sending it again from another host (this time a 32-bit system). The
