I removed .gnome* and .gconf* from my homedir to make gnome-settings-daemon
work again.
Not sure I had to remove all of them, (just mv, ok) but now it works, and seems
to be blazingly fast compared to what it was before...

I have (had?) a similar problem with my Asus eee pc 900, where it
launched evolotion as soon as I inserted the power cord, however I
disabled the mail hotkey and haven't been bothered by it anymore.

** Description changed:
Binary package hint: vinagre
Would be nice if vinagre could connect to ipv6 hosts without adding them
to dns,
Some more info, vinagre can connect to ipv6 addresses entered in the gui, but
not on the command line.
I guess I could hack the command line parser to be able to use ipv6 there too.
One way is ip:v6::adress/port to differentiate from ip.v.4.address:port

Vinagre can not connect to ipv6
Hmm, sorry. After some further investigations I can confirm that vino doesn't
accept connections with only allow local.
However, this seems to be fixed upstream since a couple of days ago.

No problem connecting with ipv4 here, even though my netstat -tlp looks similar.
A bigger problem for me is when I'm only reachable via ipv6 and the host isn't
listed in dns I can't connect with vinagre which doesn't accept raw ipv6 host
addresses. (Or am I just wrong in the ipv6 notation?)

Vinagre can not connect to ipv6 address without resolve
of course, ping6, traceroute6, ssh, just about anything work...
I guess vinagre is just not aware of ipv6 on commandline, internal it's ok. It
thinks the first colon marks end of ipv4 address and then comes the port...

I manually installed xserver-xorg-input and gnome, then it all started working
again.
Will probably work for others too.
