I noticed that evince does not handle the standard X command clicking on
a selection. Most programs simply copy the text to the clipboard, which
can be pasted later (e.g. via the middle mouse button). To reproduce
the bug (or lack of feature more appropriately):

I cannot seem to recreate the bug. I am not sure if this is relevant but
it happened when I was using another power supply but not my own. There
is a difference between the two - mine is 90W (since I have a bigger
battery) and the other one is 60W. I tried again with the same 60W

I can reproduce the problem exactly as you described it on Dell Inspiron
1721. If I plug the power back I remain to see two battery icons
(charging). A screenshot is attached.

The issue occurs with all pdf-s and all terminals (gnome-terminal, xterm
or emacs). I experimented a bit, and evince seems to implement the
necessary feature only partially. I can double click on a word in evince
which copies it to the clipboard, and I can paste with the middle button
