However, then I tried renaming my "~/.profile" and "~/.bashrc" files and
this solved the problem. Should I be able to figure our which
environmental variable interfered with evolution, I'll report back.

The cursor is tiny on my hidpi screen when using the snap version of
inkscape. This is on Fedora 29/Wayland. It's the first snap I ever
installed so i don't know whether it is reproducible with other snap
apps.

I do not want to add any further patches to Debian's screen package
which makes it differ from upstream behaviour more than it already does.
(Of course, it's a different thing if issues are caused by existing

anniversary and is still status "NEW". I would not expect this to change soon
and waiting for it does not contribute to Ubuntu bug #1 very well. They

This is really really anoying because I am using 11.10 as multimedia pc
as well (mythtv). Using the standard volume control via the infrared
control, it is not possible to adjust a proper volume - especially when
watching TV in the evening.
To remove this option in gconf without given a proper alt
middle-mouse button for resizing is not feasible for touchpad users and
keyboard-shortcuts do not necessarily make up for usability design
weaknesses. i still don't understand why unity (2d, not the 3d-resource-
hog) doesn't offer decent configuration/customization options...
