Problem still happening for me in Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn. Worse:
while in Trusty I could avoid it by disabling the Google Calendar

I have the same problem since upgrade to 13.10, except that in my case

problem isn't present on the login screen, only after starting Unity.
Haven't tried other DEs.
I have only one keyboard setup set, which is french
It affects me too and the bug appeared with Maverick. I used Metacity

It looks like the screen isn't refreshed, leaving parts of the graphics.

Just bought a Sansa Clip+ (Sandisk) MP3 player and I get several errors
like this when transfering files in MTP mode from Rhythmbox. Is the bug
supposed to be fixed?
In my case, Rhythmbox doesn't crash, it just fails to transfer the
files.
Using Ubuntu 10.04 up to date with Rhythmbox
I don't think Numlock should be on by default because on laptops (or
mini-keyboards) that don't have numpads, the user would have to turn it
off manually each time.
The best solution would be for Ubuntu to remember the state of Numlock
at shutdown (so you have to turn it on the first time you
Mmm, today it works fine. Not sure the bug report has to be kept open

I can confirm the bug is still present in Karmic and I add that when

Nautilus crashes on symlink loops
Had the problem too since I installed xubuntu-desktop (while already having

Solution in msg #33 seems to have fixed it.

Jaunty's GDM Autologin doesn't work anymore
Using smbclient, I tried to rename a dummy file to an existing name using the
rename command. Got an error message saying the file already existed.
So I guess the problem comes from Nautilus not using the smbclient commands ?

Thanks for your answer.
My problem was to start XCompMgr (composition manager) before the
