Good decision, fglrx consistently crashed my x-server in Alpha and Beta. I was thinking the same thing as you, so I turned it back on to test the brightness issue. (While fglrx doesnt crash the x-server anymore, it's still got problems, I'm going to stick with the free one for now.) Either way, t
