there do seem to be several option resetting to defaults or failing to
migrate, not just related to power management. maybe the issues is
actually in gconf's upgrade processing?

I just upgraded from Lucid to Precise and now my desktop suspends when
idle, it never did before. power applet looks right, switching to
suspend and back doens't affect it.
My screen saver is also completely gone, but that's another issue.

disabling localhost would also disable ssh tunnels, which would make
vinagre completely useless for those that admin remote systems. This
could be overriden with the use host option, as long as it remains
fixed (it has been broken in the last 2 releases).
if it's possible to detect when the

shutdown asks for
clipped everything from the first event on 10/6 to the last shutdown on

interesting update... I had this problem every time I shutdown, 3 days
in a row, after upgrading and since making the bug report it hasn't
happened once.
assuming it is a cron job, it's likely to have completed by the time I
run ck-list-sessions, don't you think? is there anyway to log it? or

why do we need this perceieved speed up? if sync causing it to be
slower than Windows or MacOS? I think it isn't, and async really is
only faster if you make multiple changes to the same files in a
session. how often does async actualy commit to disk anyway? if I
make an edit, asave, then wait

windows does have safely remove, but it also does sync so all it
really does is complain if there are open file handles on the device.

it's similar, has the same cause anyway asuming all the HDD's you try
are bigger than a gig.
i didn't find #32643 cause that it's under nautilus instead of hal where
the source of the problem is :)
