I've changed this to overlay-scrollbar instead of evince because I've
identified which component causes this scrollbar issue. Apparently, one
workaround is to uninstall the overlay-scrollbar component completely,
but surely there's a better solution here.

One of the changes to Ubuntu in both the Classic and Unity modes is the
replacement of the scrollbars in most GNOME applications with scroll
icons that only appear when the mouse is hovered over the right/bottom
of the window. However, one problem
lucid-proposed works for me. Hooray! (Sorry, can't easily test maverick,
that partition of mine was a 32-bit install.)

I may be misreading the bug report, but it seems to fail to mention that
the bug only affects the 64-bit build. That might be the crucial bit of
information they need.
