gnome-appearance settings or control-center module missing for icon
theme setting... there is no way to switch the theme other than using
dconf-editor.
On anther note, after changing themes and rebooting, the change does not
hold and system reverts back to default theme.

A VERY GOOD alternative for now, for me that is, is to use the
battery-status applet as indicator to get a proper read on what's going on
with my battery and on my cpu governor status...
maybe we could just merge that as a replacement?

"indicators".. you'll see what I mean. It's layered in .. not actually
integrated into the bar.

According to how long the string of a drive name is, the safe drive
removal dialog that pops up when unmounting or ejecting displays is
truncated.
It would be wise to adjust either the string label or the window size to
show the message properly
