Following further inspection, it is also apparent that there are one or
more additional settings, which also cause the issue. Unfortunately, I
don't have the time to look further in to it currently.

In an attempt to set-up a basic kiosk system, I'm running X with
Matchbox and Epiphany Browser. I've also installed GConf Editor (which
has installed its relevant dependencies).

Firefox fails to start up after the same setting has been enabled (even
though the lockdown option is specifically for Epiphany Browser).
