Reported this 4 years ago and is still an issue.
Today I tried to copy a 4.6 GB iso file onto a pendrive, after 15
minutes of file transfer it failed miserably raising an error that could
have been predicted earlier

This is still an issue on ubuntu 11.10.
Nautilus let you try to copy a larger than 4gb file onto fat32
filesystem, when it reach 4gbs raises a error message, it should be
warned before attemping to copy the file.

Bob is running out of time but before leaving has to copy a small file onto his
pendrive wich has some videos an photos in is parent directory.He plug the
drive, copy the file and try to umount the drive but he can't until all
thumbnails are
